- °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. 0 °F = −17.78 °C and 100 °F = 37.78 °C, roughly body temperature.

- °C = K − 273.15. 0 K is absolute zero at −273.15 °C; at −40 the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales read the same.
