CSV to JSON
Convert CSV table data into JSON arrays and objects.
Transform YAML content into JSON objects and arrays.
Parses YAML — nested maps, scalar lists and lists of objects — and emits JSON.
A hand-written parser covering the subset configuration files actually use: nested maps, scalar lists, lists of maps (`- name: a`), inline `[]` and `{}`, and `#` comments (including `#` inside quotes, which is not treated as a comment).
Typing is literal-only: lowercase `true` / `false`, `null` and `~`, plus anything `Number()` accepts (`42`, `1.5`, `010` → 10, `0x10` → 16, `1e3` → 1000). `yes`, `no`, `True` and `on` stay strings — so it does not fall into the YAML 1.1 trap of reading `no` as a boolean.
Quotes protect strings: `"123"` comes out as the string `123` (the quotes are stripped), which is how you keep a value like `010` intact.
Paste the YAML
The sample is a nested configuration; comments and indentation are handled by the rules above.
Check the mapping
Indentation levels become nested objects, `-` items become arrays, and scalars become booleans, numbers or strings according to the literal rules.
Copy the JSON
Where a value had to stay a number or boolean, confirm it was not quoted in the source.
They are outside the supported subset: an anchor is kept as the plain string `&x 1`, and `|` or `>` is not expanded into multi-line text. This tool targets the common shapes in config files; for anything richer use a full parser such as js-yaml.
Only the first document is returned, the rest is ignored. Earlier versions treated `---` as a list item, so a leading one produced a stray "--" and a middle one silently dropped everything after it; that was fixed on 2026-09-20 to state plainly that one document is read.
