Turn an original price and a discount percentage into the final price.
Shows the final price and the amount saved, and only once both inputs are valid — a half-filled form would otherwise display a believable zero. Discounts are linear off the original price; no tiered or cart-level rules.
Discounts are linear off the original price: final = original × (1 − percent) and savings = original × percent. No tiered pricing, no cart rules.
Results appear only when both the price and the percentage are above zero — a half-filled form showing 0.00 reads like a real answer, which is what this avoids.
You enter the percentage taken off: 20 means 20% off, not 20% of the price remaining.

20 for 20% off, 50 for half price, 90 for 90% off.

Final price and savings together; savings are measured against the original.
20. The field is the percentage removed: 20 means the price drops by 20%, while 80 would mean it drops by 80%. This is the single most common mistake with discount calculators.
Not directly. Two 20% discounts are not 40%: 1 − 0.8 × 0.8 = 36%. Run the first discount, then use its final price as the original for the second.
